General Information

Creamy-white wings with distinct brownish cross-lines and a small, but noticeable, blackish central dot on both wings. The base of the leading edge of the forewing is brownish. There are several fine dark dashes along the outer edges.

Overwinters as Overwinters as a larva.
Both sexes readily come to light, sometimes in numbers.

Forewing length: 9-11m.
Flying: One generation, early June-late July

Habitat

Hedgerows, scrubby grassland, woodland rides and edges, marsh edges and gardens.
