General Information

This is a distinctive species. It rests with wings pressed against tree or wall similar to geometrid moths.

 

Pupates on the food plant.

Overwinters as Overwinters as a larva.
Both sexes come to light.
Often disturbed during day

Forewing length: 11-14mm.

Flying: One/two generations, June-July and September

Habitat

Wooded areas, usually damp and boggy. Occasionally in rural gardens.
