General Information

Pupates in a cocoon either amongst the seedheads of the food plant or attached to a nearby fence or wall.

Overwinters as Overwinters as a pupa.
Both sexes come to light.

Forewing length: 14-15mm.
Foodplant(s): Purple Toadflax (Linaria purpurea), Common Toadflax (Linaria vulgaris)
Flying: Two generations, late May-July and July-August
UK Presence: Resident, Possible Immigrant

Habitat

Shingle beaches and other areas with bare ground.
