Widespread along the Stara Planina (Balkan Mountains) and it's foothills from west to east. It is much less common south of the balkan range, but does occur very locally in the Rila and Pirin mountains.
Damp meadows where it's principle foodplant, Meadowseet grows.
Recorded in 14 (0.7%) of the 1900 10km squares of Bulgaria.
