General Information

This is a variable species with many forms, the most common of which, f. ochreana, has a unicolourous buff-coloured forewing.


Wingspan: c. 19 mm.
Foodplant(s): Bog-myrtle (Myrica gale)
Flying: One generation, August-October and spring (hibernates)

Moors and damp woodland.
