General Information

This species is characterised by its deep bronzy purple forewing with dark yellow fascia edged in purple. The males have antennae which are over twice the length of the forewing.

Overwinters as Overwinters as a larva.
Flies during the day

Wingspan: 11-14mm
Foodplant(s): Wild Privet (Ligustrum vulgare), Sea-buckthorn (Hippophae rhamnoides), plants and shrubs
Flying: One generation, May-July
