General Information

This moth is very similar to A. metallella but has a smaller, darker forewing and less coppery and paler, less purple hindwings.

 

The larvae produce a short gallery leading to blotch. An oval case is eventually cut.

Overwinters as Overwinters as a pupa.
Flies during the day

Wingspan: 6mm.
Foodplant(s): Dogwood (Cornus sanguinea)
