Pupates in loose soil.

Overwinters as Overwinters as a pupa.
Both sexes come to light but in small numbers only.
Often found at rest during day

Forewing length: 8-11mm.
Foodplant(s): Dog-rose (Rosa canina), hawthorns (Crataegus spp.), Traveller's-joy (Clematis vitalba), Hemp-agrimony (Eupatorium cannabinum), Bramble (Rubus fruticosus), Elder (Sambucus nigra), Wild Angelica (Angelica sylvestris), Mugwort (Artemesia vulgaris), Goldenrod (Solidago virguarea), herbaceous plants
Flying: Two generations, May-June and mid July-late August
