General Information

This species is slightly smaller than Treble Bar and is less common.

 

Pupates in loose soil.

Overwinters as Overwinters as a larva.
Both sexes come to light but in small numbers only.
Often disturbed during day

Forewing length: 16-19mm.
Foodplant(s): St John's-worts (Hypericum spp.)
Flying: Two generations, May-June and August-September
