This species is larger and more streaked than P. xylostella.

 

Pupates in a loose silken mesh attached to the underside of a leaf.

Overwinters as Overwinters as an egg.
Both sexes readily come to light, sometimes in numbers.
Often disturbed during day

Wingspan: 14-17mm
Foodplant(s): Sweet Rocket (Hesperis matronalis)
Flying: Two generations, May-June and July-August
