General Information

Pupates near the ground in plant debris.

Overwinters as Overwinters as a larva.
Both sexes readily come to light, sometimes in numbers.
Often disturbed during day

Forewing length: 15-18mm.
Foodplant(s): docks (Rumex spp.), Common Orache (Atriplex patula), Common Sorrel (Rumex acetosa), Knotgrass (Polygonium aviculare)
Flying: Two/three generations, May-early July, early July-mid September and mid September-November

Particularly damp places, but almost anywhere.
