General Information

Pupates in a hard cocoon incorporating macerated wood on the food plant.

Overwinters as Overwinters as a pupa.
Both sexes readily come to light, sometimes in numbers.

Forewing length: 16-19mm.
Foodplant(s): Alder (Alnus glutinosa), birches (Betula spp.)
Flying: One generation, mid May-early July
