General Information

Pupates in a stem of the food plant.

Overwinters as Overwinters as an egg.
Both sexes come to light.

Forewing length: 15-18mm.
Foodplant(s): Reedmace (Typha latifolia), Lesser Reedmace (Typha angustifolia), Yellow Iris (Iris pseudacorus), Common Club-rush (Schoenoplectus lacustris), Branched Bur-reed (Sparganium emersum)
Flying: One generation, August-early October

Fens, marshes, ditches, ponds and other areas with the foodplant.
