Flies from dusk.

 

Pupates in plant debris.

Overwinters as Overwinters as a larva.
Both sexes readily come to light, sometimes in numbers.

Forewing length: 9-11mm.
Foodplant(s): Knotgrass (Polygonium aviculare), Dandelion (Taraxacum officinale), trefoils (Lotus spp.)
Flying: Two generations, June-July and August-September
UK Presence: Resident, Possible Immigrant

Woodland rides and coastal sand dunes.
