General Information

Pupates on the ground in leaf litter.

Overwinters as Overwinters as an egg.
Both sexes come to light.

Forewing length: 21-28mm.
Foodplant(s): birches (Betula spp.), Alder (Alnus glutinosa), Hazel (Corylus avellana), poplars (Populus spp.), Sycamore (Acer pseudoplatanus), Blackthorn (Prunus spinosa), hawthorns (Crataegus spp.), Apple (Malus domestica), cherries (Prunus spp.), plums (Prunus spp.), broadleaved trees
Flying: One generation, September-early October
UK Presence: Resident, Possible Immigrant
