General Information

Also feeds on Dropwort (Filipendula vulgaris) and has been recorded as feeding on Rubus spp., Viola spp. Dorycnium spp. and Spiraea crenata

Overwinters as Overwinters as an egg.

Foodplant(s): Meadowsweet (Filipendula ulmaria)
Flying: June and July

Habitat

Damp flowery meadows especially where sheltered by woodland and scrub.

Regional Information

Widespread and locally frequent.


Recorded in 63 (3.3%) of the 1900 10km squares of Bulgaria.
