General Information

This moth is very similar to other Nepticulidae.

 

The larvae produce an S-shaped mine, usually within the confines of two veins. The larvae can often be found in 'green islands' in fallen leaves.

Overwinters as Overwinters as a pupa.

Wingspan: 5-6 mm.
Foodplant(s): Beech (Fagus sylvatica)
Flying: Two generations, April-May and July-August
