General Information

The pupa is formed in a cocoon in a tightly folded leaf.

Overwinters as Overwinters as a pupa.
Both sexes readily come to light, sometimes in numbers.

Forewing length: 13-18mm.
Foodplant(s): Pedunculate Oak (Quercus robur), Sessile Oak (Quercus petraea), Turkey Oak (Quercus laevis)
Flying: Two generations, May-June and July-September
UK Presence: Resident

Oak heathland, woodland, fens, grassland.
