General Information

This moth has a bronzy grey-brown forewing, a brown-orange head and cilia concolourous with wing.

 

The larvae create a slender gallery mine of compact 'S' turns which unite in a false blotch.

Overwinters as Overwinters as a pupa.

Wingspan: 4-5mm.
Foodplant(s): hawthorns (Crataegus spp.)
Flying: Two generations, May and August
