Larvae form a narrow gallery mine, which turns from yellow to purple.

Wingspan: 7-8mm.
Foodplant(s): Upright Brome (Bromopsis erecta), Downy Oat-grass (Helictotrichon pubescens), wild-oats (Avena spp.), Cock's-foot (Dactylis glomerata), grasses
Flying: Two generations, May-June and August

Habitat

Dry, Open grassland.
