General Information

The larvae mine an erratic meandering gallery which is expanded in the spring to form blotch.


Wingspan: 8-9mm.
Foodplant(s): Great Wood-rush (Luzula sylvatica), Hairy Wood-rush (Luzula pilosa), Star Sedge (Rhynchospora colorata), sedges (Carex spp.)
Flying: One generation, May-August

Habitat

Shady woodland and banks where foodplant grows.
